Is there a favorite donut or pizza place near campus? See if you can co-market with that business, in other words ask them to do something like hand out your flyer / brochure with every order, for a price.

Hold an event such as an open house (if construction is almost complete) or a student forum-type informational session. Offer some door prizes, make it an event, and show a few slides of what the complex is going to look like, why it’s in a great location, what the rent will be — and hand out coupons for $100 off the 1st month’s rent. These actions will get the word out about your new complex, and help fill it up with paying renters!

Someone already said it but I would also recommend http://www.craigslist.com. It’s free and everyone (esp. college students) look there.

The answer is Craig’s list. First of all, it is looked at by more college students then any paper, TV channel, or radio station. Second, it is where they go for information. Finally, it is free. I am in HR and we get more qualified applicants from Craig’s list then we get from any other scource. http://www.craigslist.com

good/creative ways to advertise a new college apartment complex?
i am currently working for a new apartment complex being built near a college campus. we are trying to get it advertised in creative and new ways. the apartments are geared towards the college students, so whatever is done to market the apartments needs to be interesting to college students. any ideas that are creative and effective? we are currently doing flyers and passing out things.
