I’m 19 and am starting community college in Sept. I have been approved for Financial Aid from FAFSA. And i was wondering if anyone can help me understand more about it in depth? I think it said I’m eligible for $14,000 in loans or something. Can i use it for gas? Food? Housing?

Whatever is left (after tuition, housing, meals, etc), you can spend it on whatever you want.
It will be your money to spend on college classes and textbooks. You can add your housing into it, but realize that these are loans and must be paid back. So just be careful where you spend it, and it goes fast.

yes you can, but after books you’re not going to have that much left over. Also, you don’t want to be that far in debt when you graduate. I’m in the same situation you are, but you have to get a part time job just to survive.
