It depends on what your award letter says. Any type of grants or scholarships you DO NOT have to pay back, but loans you obviously do. They should mail you more info about how to apply/accept your loans, etc.

it depends...is this a grant, a loan, what? a grant can be paid back if you fail to pass your classes or complete the semester. Loan definitely needs to be paid back, scholarship is similar to a grant.

That depends on if it is a grant or a student loan. Grants such as the Pell Grant dont have to be paid back, but any student loan from the government or elsewhere will have to be paid back.

That depends on if it is a loan or a grant. Try, try, try to not borrow any more than you have to. Check out all of your states options for financial aid. Talk to your school counselor. They should be able to help you.
